Raving guitars, grooving beats, an energetic horn section and a lead singer who’s hard to keep track of, while jumping and bouncing around on stage. A few characteristic belonging to the Dutch band Make Up Your Mind or MUYM for short. The six enthusiastic guys of MUYM produce a great mix of ska, punk, rock ’n roll and dixie swing which guarantees to get the party started for real! With its impressive list of concerts all over Western Europe the band shows to possess the energy and charisma to bring their view of live, in all its beautiful and awkward aspects, in a breath taking live show. Leaving only one thing to be said: JUMP!!!!
Right now it is time to shake off the dust, time for innovation and time for a brand new studio album. After giving over 90 live shows based on their last album ‘Hold On Tied’ (released in april 2007) it is time for a new sound and a new album to be released on February 26th 2010. MUYM will present their new album to you in a 9 day tour through the Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland featuring the German band Echtzeit as co-headliner.
The last year MUYM has been working to write and record new material at studio Woodencup in Wilnis, The Netherlands, mixing and matering is done by Frans Hendriks in Limmen, The Netherlands who amongst others made the work of Anouk, Kyteman’s Hiphop Orchestra, De Dijk and Candy Dulfer a success.
Make Up Your Mind has played over 190 shows all over western-Europe in the past years. By this we gained more than enough podium experience to get every party started. Performing for small groups of 50 people or big festivals for over 2000 people, it doesn’t seem to matter, when we climb onto the stage it is hard to keep your feet standing still on the floor! We played at some impressive ventures, among others: Flevo Festival (NL) 2002, 2003, 2004; Opwekking festival (NL) 2003, 2004; Christmas Rock Night (D) 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007; Greenbelt Festival (GB) 2005; Rockstage (D) 2006; Owener Rocknacht (D) 2006; Ballinger Rock Festival (D) 2006, 2007, 2008;Kieler Nachtschicht (D) 2005, 2007; Batir Sur le Rock (F) 2006, One Rock (D) 2007, Festival de Paques (F) 2007, 2008; Jumprock (D) 2007; De Melkweg (NL) 2007, Himmelfahrtfestival (D) 2007, Teenstreet (D) 2007, Plugfestival 2007 (CH).
