Yeh, now I remember why is was looking forward for this day to come…

 

Guitars really blow some life into the songs. This morning we started with the recordings for the acoustic guitars. But after a few try outs  we learned that adjusting your acoustic guitar is a good thing to do before you go into the studio. So… away with the acoustics and bring on the electrics! The rest of the day we will spent most of our time recording the lead guitars. Peter has brought an army of guitars with him, some for heavy duty and some for the light and juicy jobs. We’ve just recorded some guitars which made me think of the warm and bright guitar sound I heard on the latest Hillsong album. The kind of melodies that makes you wanna put the song on repeat over and over again. Peter is now moving on to the heavier stuff which he’s going to mix over the bright guitars he just recorded. It’s cool to hear this wall of guitars building up with every part we record. Later this day we will definitely move on to the ska parts to bring some cheer into the songs. It’s going to be long day tough, around 9 o’clock this morning but I don’t think we’ll be done around 10 this evening. So much fun to do, but oooh so little time!
