17/03 - FRANS' AND GUB'S STUDIO BLOG - PART I
Yesterday Frans and I hit the studio, and after a proper beginning of the day (we were drinking coffee, while Theo was preparing all the mic's, cables and settings) we got started on tunning our instruments (see pic.) and recording!
We both don't know what all the other guys are complaining about, in a day we recorded three whole songs and allready did the biggest part of the fourth one. So basically we did it in half the time it took all the others to finish up, with the double amount of people (since Frans and I record everything together in one take). So did we work 4 times as hard as the others, or are we just better? No kidding, it just went great and above our own expectations. After hearing the drums we thought it couldn't get any better, and after adding the guitars we thought we didn't need horns or vocals, but the horns sound really great and believe it or not these songs really rock!
